Ōji and Kurauchi both used to be members of Yuba Squad. Due to wanting a team of his own, Ōji separated and made this squad together with Kurauchi. Even now, they are still on good terms with Yuba Squad.
Ōji Squad goes against Ikoma Squad and Tamakoma Second for their Round 6 match. They take first blood with Kashio causing Minamisawa to bail out, however they are also the first team to get wiped out. They end the round with 3 points, giving the win to Tamakoma Second.
Ōji and Kurauchi commentate during Round 8, where they briefly talk about their own match.
All combatants participate in Phase 1. Ōji is assigned to lead Squad 2, Kashio is chosen by Mizukami for his Squad 9, and Kurauchi joins Murakami's Squad 10. As there are more operators than shuffled teams, Kittaka is one of three operators to help with A-Rank evaluation.
↑Daisuke Ashihara: Q252: Why couldn’t upper B-ranks like Ninomiya Squad or Kageura Squad participate in the Large Scale Invasion? Did they travel far away on their time off? (multiple) A: It seems I lost the chance to draw it in the story itself so I’ll write it here: "HQ Chief Shinoda gave the order that B-rank and lower agents are not allowed to participate in the fight until all members of the team are present." It seems he was worried about agents acting on their own and getting captured by Rabbits. Of course, there are also teams like Kako Squad who was late to the fight because their captain went out on a drive on her time off. Source: Border Briefing File, Question 252
