Yūma Kuga and Chika Amatori officially become trainees but Sōya Kazama wants to fight their unofficial captain, Osamu Mikumo in a mock battle to which he accepts.

Osamu loses 24 times, however during the 25th match, he used a combination of Thruster with Raygust in Shield mode and Asteroid to destroy Kazama's trion body, however he used Scorpion at the same time leading to a tie.
