Hanzaki is an exceptionally skilled Sniper, even by Border's standard. He is one of the only two Snipers capable of hitting an immobile target from 1 kilometer away,[1] and it was said he would have been able to snipe through Hairein's shield of Alektor bullets.[BBF Q82] Thanks to his proficiency, he can easily aim at the head of the target;[2] however, particularly reckless opponents can turn this ability to their advantage, by anticipating when he will shoot and creating a focused Shield to protect their Trion Relay System.[3] Hanzaki ranked 4th in stealth and target acquisition training.[4]
Although he is very vulnerable at close range, Hanzaki has demonstrated to possess quick reactions, which, coupled with the knowledge on Kuga's moves acquired through the logs,[5] allowed him to avoid a lethal attack from the latter, although he still took damage.[6]
Hanzaki is known to be one of Border's best sharpshooters. He is one of the very few Snipers who would be capable of shooting through the gaps of Hyrein'sAlektor shield[7], In battle he can shoot the head of a moving target without difficulty[2] thanks to his extremely high accuracy; and who can hit an immobile target from one kilometer away.[1] Hanzaki is first seen using Egret in Chapter 54 (Episode 25 in the anime).
